Calgary Stampede Parade. Heather, Samantha and Megan joined HSL, Christian, Don and Me . Christian had lots of fun being Spiderman!!
Christian turned 4 just before their arrival in Canada. He was a Very, Busy Boy! This is one of the rare moments when he slept during the day. He really loved using the lift chairs and took every opportunity to occupy the chairs when Nana and Papa left one empty.
Christian liked the Music Glasses and putting money in the Puppy's dish kept him and Papa busy feeding. It was interesting to see how many times Christian could repeat this activity.
Stampede Breakfast at Southern Alberta Pioneers with Colleen, Thalia and Daria. Richard entertained the kids and Christian wore his favorite Spiderman outfit.
It was very chilly and hands were COLD. After I covered Christians hands he asked.. What are these, Aunty Noreen? Gloves! Of course, he had NEVER seen or worn anything on his hands.... so CUTE!
Hazzarriann-Starr, Russell, Norma, Noreen and Howard. The Moore's all in one location at one time, WOW!
Christian made us a interesting piece of art to say Good Bye and Thanks. He wanted his picture taken beside the spot he chose to hang the creation.
Don and Father Jack Bogacz. Jack was visiting from New Jersey in Havre, Montana and we had lunch where "Canadians are Welcome"!
We found a wonderful bike trail in Whitefish, Montana. Don and I had 2 wheel bikes while Barbi and Larry cruised in their Home-crafted 2 seater bicycle. It is equipped with a very handy cooler!
September 6th marked the 66th Wedding Anniversary for Mom and Dad. We had a nice celebration of their special milestone at 627.
Alec crafted this amazing costume for Halloween. NOTE the extendible Canadarm.
Papa moved to the Patchwork Room at Agape Hospice on October 1st after a fall on September 21st and a 10 stay at the Foothills Hospital. His room is really lovely and he is quite content to have the extra care he needs and receives at this facility.
In Dad's Patchwork Room . Dad celebrated his 89th B'day on Oct 13th and he is surrounded by cards and many special items from 627.
Christmas lights on our Mesa home. We have a string of Santa's laundry, Chilli lights on the Organ Pipe Cactus, lights on the dog house and some luminaries up the path from the mailbox.

Ho, Ho, Ho to all our friends and relatives. You better watch out, you better not cry, you better not pout, we're telling you WHY.... The SAP Fund is Changing Oh, Sigh!! As Richard and Alec have reached the ages of 25 and 23 respectively, we are feeling less like parents and more like pensioners. So the wildly successful "Save A Parent" (SAP) Fund has pooped out! Now we are pitching the PP Fund (Preserve Pensioners).
The PP Fund will ensure all potential and practicing pensioners will persevere , prosper and pursue a pointed and plentiful protracted future.
We will accept ALL donations here in Arizona or back in Medicine Hat. Of course, any form of payment is accepted.(eg. Cash, Cheques or checks, Credit Cards, E transfers, Paypal...... Gifts in Kind EXCLUDING children and/or pets)
Although our charity status is questionable and we do not have an official number we do offer other incentives. Every donation will be rewarded with a personal thank you. At your request, a face to face Skype call may be arranged so you can see those who you so thoughtfully support.
Beginning with just two pathetic pensioners (one potential and one practicing) we anticipate the "movement" will exponentially grow and become a Worldwide Phenomenon. Your initial contribution will not only help us but potentially help you or a loved one as well.
Back to Richard and Alec. Richard is now taking a distance education program in Power Engineering. He spent the summer working outdoors , mostly spraying fertilizer and weed control in Calgary. Alec continues to work 2 weeks on/ 1 week off, as a crane operator north of Ft McMurray.
Fortunately, because they are in Calgary, both Richard and Alec spend time with Nana and Papa. Papa is in Agape Hospice (only 5 minutes from home) and Nana is at their house. Alec makes his Calgary base at 627 and he spends his days off doing a variety of activities including paragliding, snowboarding and attending concerts. Richard often studies over at N&P's and helps out with some of the "things" that need attention at the house. He enjoyed playing mixed badminton this fall and looks forward to some snowboarding trips this winter.
Don and Noreen split time between Medicine Hat and Mesa. Don's ankle surgery in May was successful and he can now walk and ride a bike. His knee has a torn meniscus which will be repaired next summer. Noreen continues to spiral uncontrollably towards her 60th birthday in 2014 (the potential pensioner). She is involved in lots of activities split between our two locations and can be seen rollerblading in both countries.
On January 1st, 2014 we will be at the Rose Parade. This event has been held since 1890 and comes highly recommended. In February we will fly 30 hours (cheap flight) to Bangkok to see our friends Bill and Mare Harvey and their sons. We will stay in Bangkok for a week or so and travel around the country during our last two weeks.
Our plans are to head home from Mesa in the middle of April. By then we will probably need help with gas, food and lodging, so this is a wonderful time for you support the new PP Fund. Just think how you could feel knowing you have helped the initial two pensioners find their way home.
We look forward to hearing about you and your family. Warm and Fuzzy Wishes for 2014!
Noreen and Don
PS How about writing a brief note on the back of your donation chq?!?!
